  • 1 tablespoon diced almonds (per croissant)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons alcohol-free vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 cup almond flour or almond meal
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 8 tablespoons softened salted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract

Instructions
