  • 1 lb spaghetti noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Optional: cream cheese or ricotta

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with diced onion and garlic until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce, simmer for 5–10 minutes.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine cooked spaghetti with half of the meat sauce and optional cream cheese or ricotta.
  6. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish; layer half of spaghetti mixture followed by half of the cheeses. Repeat layers.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes; remove foil and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  8. Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
