  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 ounces chocolate almond bark
  • 1 ½ cups white chocolate chips
  • ½ can sweetened condensed milk (approximately 7 ounces)
  • ½ teaspoon mint extract
  • Green food coloring

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
  3. Gradually combine dry ingredients: cocoa powder, salt, baking soda, baking powder, and flour. Mix until just combined.
  4. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on a lined baking sheet. Press your thumb gently into each ball to form a well.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 12 minutes; if thumbprints disappear during baking, press them down again after removing from the oven.
  6. Let cool for two minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  7. For the fudge filling, melt white chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk in a saucepan over medium heat; stir in mint extract.
  8. Fill each cookie's well with the fudge mixture.
  9. Melt chocolate almond bark and drizzle over cooled cookies.
