  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 4 tablespoons milk
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Cut in vegetable shortening using a pastry blender until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in raisins and buttermilk until just combined. If necessary, add more buttermilk for desired consistency.
  5. On a floured surface, roll out the dough to about ¾-inch thick and cut out biscuits using a biscuit cutter.
