Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Mix in cornstarch, baking soda, and salt until fully incorporated.
  5. Gradually add flour one cup at a time, mixing until just combined to avoid overmixing.
  6. Fold in the milk chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
  7. Scoop out about 1/3 cup of dough for large cookies or use a medium ice cream scoop for regular-sized ones and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake large cookies for about 10-11 minutes or regular-sized for around 8 minutes until golden brown on edges but still soft in the center.
  9. Allow cooling on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
