  • 1 3/4 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup flour

  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup carrots (diced)
  • 1/2 cup peas
  • 3/4 cup frozen corn
  • 1 lb shredded chicken
  • 1 puff pastry sheet (thawed)
  • 1 egg (whisked)
  • 1 tbsp water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. Grease the pie dish and line it with the thawed pie crust. Optionally pre-bake for about 10 minutes.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and sauté diced onions until translucent.
  4. Stir in flour for about a minute, then gradually whisk in chicken broth until smooth.
  5. Add heavy cream and seasonings; stir until thickened.
  6. Mix in carrots, peas, corn, and shredded chicken thoroughly.
  7. Pour the filling into the prepared pie dish, cover with puff pastry, trim excess, and cut steam vents.
  8. Brush the pastry with egg wash before baking for about 35 minutes until golden brown.
