Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 lobster tails
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Thaw lobster tails if frozen, and cut the top shell with kitchen scissors. Gently pull apart the shell and lift the meat out while keeping it attached at the base.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine buttermilk and Old Bay seasoning. Submerge each lobster tail in the mixture for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Remove lobster tails from buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, then dredge in flour until evenly coated.
  5. Carefully fry each tail for 3-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  6. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
