  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Easter M&Ms or candy-coated chocolate eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time followed by vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually mix into wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips and half of the Easter candies.
  6. Scoop dollops of dough onto prepared baking sheets and press remaining candies on top.
  7. Bake for about 10–12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden while centers remain soft.
  8. Allow cooling on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
