  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter (softened)
  • 0.33 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.330.5 cup chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar (for optional glaze)
  • 12 tbsp milk (for optional glaze)
  • 0.25 tsp vanilla extract (for optional glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface until evenly flattened.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract to form a paste.
  4. Spread the cinnamon mixture over the rolled-out pastry and sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
  5. Roll the pastry tightly into a log and slice into eight equal pieces.
  6. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish and place them on the baking sheet.
