Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter (for searing)
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • 12 oz bowtie pasta
  • 2 tbsp butter (for sauce)
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup Velveeta, cubed
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil a pot of salted water and cook the bowtie pasta until al dente (about 10-11 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium-high heat. Season the chicken with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Sear for 6-8 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
  3. Lower the heat and melt butter in the same skillet. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Stir in heavy cream, milk, and cream cheese; whisk until smooth. Mix in mozzarella until melted.
  4. Toss the cooked bowtie pasta into the sauce until evenly coated.
  5. Serve by plating the pasta with sliced chicken on top and garnish with chopped parsley.
