  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup warm water (60 ml)
  • 1/4 cup honey (60 ml)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (60 ml)
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour (375 g)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  1. In a small bowl, combine rolled oats with warm milk and let sit for 10 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water and add honey; let it bubble for 5-10 minutes.
  3. Mix softened oats, melted butter, and the yeast mixture until combined.
  4. Gradually stir in flour, cinnamon, and salt until a shaggy dough forms.
  5. Knead on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth.
  6. Allow the dough to rise in an oiled bowl covered with a damp cloth for 1-1.5 hours.
  7. Shape into a log, place in a greased loaf pan, and let rise again for about 30-40 minutes.
  8. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
