  • 250 g ground beef
  • 100 g onion (finely diced)
  • 85 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 150 g panko breadcrumbs
  • 50 ml chicken stock (optional)
  • 1 tsp butter
  • ½ tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 pinch nutmeg powder
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper
  • Cooking oil (to fry)

Instructions

  1. Sauté onions in butter until softened. Add ground beef and brown.
  2. Mix in seasonings and allow to cool.
  3. Combine remaining beef with wet panko mixture, egg yolk, and cooled mixture; shape into patties.
  4. Chill patties for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Coat each patty in flour, egg, and panko breadcrumbs twice for extra crunch.
  6. Fry in hot oil until golden brown on both sides.
  7. Serve with homemade sauce made from ketchup and Worcestershire.
