Instructions

  1. Prepare the caramel by melting 1 cup of sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until golden brown, then pour it into your flan mold.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, evaporated milk, condensed milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Pour the custard mixture over the hardened caramel in the mold.
  4. Place the mold inside a larger baking pan filled with hot water to create a water bath.
  5. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for about 50 minutes or until set – insert a knife to check; it should come out clean.
  6. Allow to cool at room temperature before refrigerating for at least 4 hours.
