  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 1 cup cooked crumbled turkey bacon
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pound chicken breasts to an even thickness and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear each chicken breast for about 5–7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, sauté mushrooms, green bell pepper, and onion until tender.
  5. Stir in crumbled turkey bacon and cook for another 2–3 minutes.
  6. Place seared chicken in a baking dish and top with the vegetable mixture.
  7. Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the chicken and drizzle with ranch dressing.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 25–30 minutes. Check that the internal temperature reaches at least 165°F (74°C).
  9. Let rest for about 5 minutes before garnishing with parsley and serving.
