2 eggs
1 cup bread crumbs
1 onion, chopped
2 pounds lean ground beef
½ cup milk
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon tomato paste
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ cup ketchup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a large loaf pan.
In a large bowl, combine eggs, bread crumbs, chopped onion, ground beef, milk, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, tomato paste, minced garlic, and garlic powder until well mixed.
Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared pan.
For the sauce, mix ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce in a small saucepan over medium heat until slightly thickened.
Pour half of the sauce over the meatloaf and bake for 30 minutes.
Add the remaining sauce on top and continue baking for another 45 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
Allow resting for about 10 minutes before slicing to retain moisture.
