Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons loose-leaf vanilla rose tea (or 2 tea bags)
  • 12 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk (or milk alternative)
  • a pinch ground cardamom (optional)
  • dried rose petals for garnish
  • fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a small saucepan.
  2. Remove from heat and steep tea for 5-7 minutes.
  3. In a separate saucepan, heat milk until steaming but not boiling; froth if desired.
  4. Strain tea leaves (if using) and mix brewed tea with honey/agave syrup and vanilla extract (add cardamom if using).
  5. Pour tea mixture into a mug and top with steamed milk.
  6. Garnish with dried rose petals and mint leaves before serving.
