Ingredients

  • 4 cod fillets (6 oz each)
  • 2 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, grated ginger, and lemon juice until combined.
  3. Place the cod fillets in a shallow dish and pour half of the marinade over them. Marinate for 15-30 minutes.
  4. Arrange the marinated fillets on a greased baking sheet and brush with the remaining marinade.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the cod is flaky and cooked through.
  6. Optionally, toast sesame seeds in a skillet until golden brown for garnish.
  7. Serve garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
